A little bit of humor

I saw this cartoon on one of my favorite websites the other day and thought it was really funny.  Of course my humor right now is a little on the weird side, but do I care.

Date night

Saturday night Jay and I had our first date in years.  We had one of his shipmates watch the kids and we went out and saw Eagle Eye and had dinner.  The kids had so much fun with his shipmate and we had a nice time being away from the kids, especially me.  I haven't been truly away from the kids in so long that it was nice just to be with Jay and have a nice evening together.  We had such a nice time out that Jay is already planning on another date night for sometime next month, though I already know which movie he's taking me to since I made that request over a month ago.  Date nights are great!

The Birthday Girl

I honestly can't believe it has already been a year since Annabelle was born.  This time last year I was an emotional reck.  Annabelle was in the NICU for the first 5 1/2 days of her life and we were struggling with the possibility of having to leave our home because of fires.  She was so tiny back then and now she is such a chunk and active happy girl.  Yesterday was her birthday and we decided to just have a quiet birthday for her.  It was so enjoyable and fun.

We got her a ice cream cake for her birthday and she seemed to really like it.

This was a dress I got for her for her special day for church.  She looked way too cute! (Jay did her hair)

This was in the morning before church when we opened gifts.  She was having so much fun sitting on Jay's lap opening the gifts and handing him the paper.

After dinner we did her cake and she loved it!  We couldn't even sing to her before her little fingers were diving into the cake.  She loved her cake, a lot.  She was such a mess by the time she was finished.  Jay just stripped her down and immedately put the kids into the bath.  It was a really nice day for such a sweet little girl.
